Set up a Help Scout account

  1. Go to the www.helpscout.com and click the Free Trial button in the upper right corner.

  1. Fill out the required fields and click Get Your Account.

  1. Fill-out the Tell Us About Yourself section, then click Next.

  1. Fill-out the Create a Mailbox secion then click Set Up Mailbox.

  1. You will be redirected to your dashboard and wil be asked to complete the setup guide.

Set up a knowledge base

  1. In the Help Scout dashboard, click on the "Docs" tab at the top. Then click "Create your first collection" button.

  1. Choose a name for your knowledge base and select a visibility option. Click Save Collection once done.

Add your branding assets

  1. After clicking Save Collection, you will get this prompt. Select Customize Your Website.

  1. Add your company’s logo, icons, and brand colors. Once done, don’t forget to scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.

Create your first collection

  1. Click Docs then click Create Category.

  1. Add a name and description for your category, then click Create Category.

Create your first article

  1. Click the "Create Article" button.

  1. Write a title for your article, the slug is auto-populated. Then click "Create Article"

  1. Add content to your article.

Publish your knowledge base

Click the "Publish" button at the upper right corner.

  1. Click Docs, click the Category where you want to add new articles, then click Create Article.

  1. Repeat the entire process under “Create your first article” above as needed.
