Best Shopify Apps to Increase Average Order Value (2026)

Ten order value apps checked on the Shopify App Store today, one per job: bundles, quantity breaks, cart upsells, free gifts, post-purchase offers and shipping bars. Plus the one layer no app can sell for you.

A dark navy desk with ten small app tiles arranged in a row, one glowing orange, next to a shopping receipt growing longer.

Ten apps. One order. And most founders run four of them on the same cart.

So here's the short answer. The best Shopify apps to increase average order value in 2026 are the ones that each own one job: Kaching Bundles for quantity breaks on the product page, Frequently Bought Together CBB or Selleasy for "add this too" bundles, Monk for free gifts and spend tiers, ReConvert or Zipify OCU for the offer after checkout, and Hextom Free Shipping Bar for the threshold nudge. Every rating and starting price below comes from each app's own Shopify App Store listing, opened today, October 27, 2026.

Then there's the part the roundups skip. Every one of these apps works on buyers who already said yes. None of them sells the first order. I'll show you the math on that after the table.

Which Shopify order value apps are worth installing in 2026?

I sorted these by the job they do, because that's how you should buy them. Two apps doing the same job in the same spot is the most common mess I see on store audits.

Kaching Bundles App & Upsells Quantity breaks, bundles, gifts on the product page, built-in A/B testing 5.0 (6,501) Starter $14.99/month, up to $1,000 of added revenue Not the core pitch
Frequently Bought Together CBB Amazon-style bundles on product and cart pages 4.9 (1,211) Free for 3 manual bundles, then $9.99/month Yes, AI or manual
Shopify Bundles Fixed bundles and multipacks from the admin 2.8 (570) Free No

ReConvert Post Purchase Upsell One-click post-purchase and thank you page offers 4.8 (3,116) Free to 50 orders, $9.99/month for 51 to 100 No
One Click Upsell, Zipify OCU Pre and post-purchase upsell funnels 4.5 (570) $9.95/month while upsell revenue stays under $200 Yes, AI upsells and A/B tests
Hextom: Free Shipping Bar Progress bar toward a free shipping goal 4.9 (3,044) Free, Premium $9.99/month No

Two notes before you install anything.

First, this list is not every good app. AfterSell, Rebuy and UpCart show up on most lists too, and if one is already working in your store, keep it. The table sticks to apps whose listings I checked line by line for this post.

Second, look at how the bills are built. Kaching charges by the extra revenue it says it made. Zipify charges by upsell revenue. ReConvert and Candy Rack charge by order count. Same job, very different bill at scale.

An order value app grades its own homework. It shows the offer, counts the yes, and reports the money on its own dashboard.

Which app should run bundles and quantity breaks?

This is the biggest lever on the product page, and the one with the most choice.

Kaching Bundles is the pick if your product sells in multiples: supplements, candles, socks, pet treats. Buy 1, buy 2 save 10%, buy 3 save 15%. It's Built for Shopify, it has A/B testing inside the app, and the review count is the largest on this list. We compared it head to head in Kaching Bundles vs Fast Bundle, and the tier math is in our post on quantity breaks and average order value.

Frequently Bought Together CBB fits when the add-on is a different product, which makes it a cross-sell, not an upsell. Skillet plus scrubber. Serum plus cleanser. It runs AI recommendations or manual bundles, and the free plan covers 3 manual bundles, which is enough to test the idea before paying.

Shopify Bundles is free and native, and the 2.8 rating tells you what merchants think of the limits. Shopify's own help center lists a cap of 3 options and 100 variants total per bundle, and bundle prices don't update when a component's price changes. Fine for one simple kit. Painful for apparel with sizes and colors.

Which cross-sell apps on Shopify use AI picks that actually work?

Here's the thing. "AI recommendations" is on half the listings now, and it means very different things.

Wiser lists AI frequently bought together and AI-powered recommendations on its free plan. Selleasy gives 50 free AI recommendations on Starter and 1,000 a month on Pro, plus an AI campaign optimizer. Candy Rack describes itself as AI-powered with Gemini. Zipify OCU includes AI upsells and A/B testing on every paid tier.

But AI needs order history to learn from. A store doing 120 orders a month doesn't give the algorithm much to chew on. I tell founders the same thing every time: under a few hundred orders a month, write the rule yourself. Refill after the starter kit. Case after the phone stand. A rule you wrote is a rule you can test. A black box that picks a $4 sticker for your $180 boot buyer is a black box you can't argue with.

Once you're past that volume and the catalog has 50+ products, the AI picks start earning their keep. Before then, they mostly decorate the page.

Do post-purchase and free gift apps raise order value or just move it?

Post-purchase offers fire after the card is charged, so they can't hurt the first sale. That's why ReConvert and Zipify OCU belong on almost every store. ReConvert is the cheap, proven option. Zipify fits if you want AI choosing the offer and a bill that tracks upsell revenue. The full side-by-side lives in our post-purchase upsell app comparison.

Free gifts and free shipping bars are different. They change behavior before checkout. Monk lets you set spend tiers (spend $75, get the travel size) and BOGO offers. Hextom puts a progress bar at the top of the page. Set the threshold too low and you just gift away margin on orders that would've cleared it anyway. The setting rules are in our post on the free shipping bar and average order value.

And watch the cart. Stack a free gift popup, a bundle widget and a cart upsell on one drawer and you've built a slot machine. We tested the risk in do cart upsells hurt conversion rate.

What do these apps add, and what can't they touch?

Run the math on a store like this, a hypothetical. A skincare brand gets 20,000 visitors a month. Conversion rate 2.0%, average order value $62. That means revenue per visitor is $1.24. On 20,000 visitors, that's $24,800.

Now install the stack well. Quantity breaks on the hero serum, a cleanser bundle, a post-purchase refill offer. Say average order value climbs to $74 and conversion rate holds at 2.0%. Revenue per visitor goes to $1.48. On the same 20,000 visitors, that's $29,600. A $4,800 month from the apps. Good money.

Now watch what happens when the page sells the first order better. Conversion rate 3.0%, same $74 average order value. Revenue per visitor $2.22. On 20,000 visitors, that's $44,400.

The apps added $4,800. The page added $14,800 on top of that, from the same visitors. Apps stack dollars on orders you already closed. The page decides how many orders exist to stack on.

Every app on this list works on the 2 visitors who bought. The page decides what happens to the other 98.

This is where we point AI at RevenueFlows AI. The headline, the objection answers, the offer and the order of the argument on the product page itself. Here's one real product. A bedding brand's adjustable pillows went from conversion rate 1.0% and average order value $125 (revenue per visitor $1.25) to conversion rate 4.4% and average order value $152 (revenue per visitor $6.68). On 10,000 visitors, that's $12,500 before and $66,800 after. See the full case study numbers. Real client numbers, not typical results, and not a promise of what your store will do.

Notice the order grew $27 there. No widget did that. The page sold a bigger first order and a lot more of them. The full ranked list of levers sits in how to increase average order value on Shopify, and the order value stacking formula shows where each app layer fits.

Plug your own numbers into the calculator below. These defaults match the hypothetical skincare store.

FAQ

What to do next

Open your Shopify admin today and list every installed app that shows an offer. Next to each one, write the job it does. Any job with two apps on it, keep the one with the better holdout number and delete the other. Then look at the product page those offers sit on.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Shopify app to increase average order value?

It depends on the job. For quantity breaks and bundles on the product page, Kaching Bundles had a 5.0 rating from 6,501 reviews when I checked on October 27, 2026. For frequently bought together offers, Frequently Bought Together by Code Black Belt or Selleasy. For post-purchase offers, ReConvert or Zipify OCU. Pick one app per job.

Are there free Shopify apps to increase average order value?

Yes. Shopify Bundles is free on all plans, and Selleasy, Hextom Free Shipping Bar and Frequently Bought Together CBB all list free plans. ReConvert is free up to 50 orders and Wiser is free for stores with 0 to 50 monthly orders.

How many upsell apps should a Shopify store run?

One per placement. One bundle or quantity break app on the product page, one cart offer, one post-purchase offer. Two apps fighting over the same cart drawer slow the page and split the credit, so you can't tell which one earned anything.

Do AI recommendation apps beat manual upsell rules?

Only with order volume behind them. Apps like Wiser, Selleasy and Candy Rack now sell AI picks, but AI needs purchase history to learn from. Under a few hundred orders a month, a hand-written rule like refill after the starter kit is easier to trust and easier to test.

Can an app raise average order value if the product page doesn't convert?

It can add dollars to the orders you already win. It can't touch the visitors who leave. If 98 of every 100 visitors leave the product page, every app on this list is working on the other 2.
