Amazon PPC Automation Software: Perpetua vs Teikametrics
Perpetua and Teikametrics will both move your bids every hour. Neither one can make your listing close the sale, and that one number decides how high any bot is allowed to bid.

Hot take first. I've never seen a bid algorithm rescue a listing that couldn't sell.
I've watched sellers switch PPC tools chasing a lower ACoS, and every switch looks the same. New dashboard. New onboarding call. Same listing underneath, still losing the sale after the click.
So here's the short answer. The two biggest names in Amazon PPC automation software are Perpetua and Teikametrics. Both set a goal, adjust bids on their own, and harvest new keywords from your search terms. Teikametrics is the cheaper entry point, starting at $149 a month on annual billing for up to $10,000 in ad spend. Perpetua starts at $695 a month for the same spend band and leans harder into reporting and service. Pick Teikametrics if you're under $10,000 a month in spend. Look at Perpetua once you're well past it and want hourly share of voice data.
And then know this before you pay either one: the tool sets the bid, but your listing's conversion rate sets the ceiling on what that bid can ever be.
What does Amazon PPC automation software actually do?
It does the boring part of the job you hate. Four jobs, mostly.
It moves bids up and down based on how each keyword converts. It moves winning search terms out of auto campaigns and into manual ones. It adds negatives on terms that spend and never sell. And it shifts budget toward whatever is working this week.
Doing that by hand on 40 ASINs is a second job. That's why people search for these tools. Not because they love software. Because they're tired of living in bulk sheets on a Sunday night.
Every tool in this category works off the same scoreboard. Amazon's own ACoS guide defines it as ad spend divided by ad revenue, times 100. Keep that formula in your head. It's going to matter in a minute.
How does Perpetua work, and what does it cost?
Perpetua's pitch on its homepage is "create goals, not campaigns." You pick an objective (growth, profitability, brand defense or awareness), set a target, and its ad engine builds and runs the campaigns under that goal using what it calls conversion-based bidding.
The harvesting is automatic and on by default. Perpetua's help center says it harvests across exact, phrase and broad match, and in ad groups under 900 keywords a term usually needs 2 or more conversions to get pulled in. You can only switch harvesting off per goal, not for the whole account.
One honest detail I liked. Perpetua has a help article called why did the ad engine harvest irrelevant keywords. It explains that if an ad group has fewer than 30 unique match types, the engine fills the gap from Amazon's Suggested Keywords, which can pull in terms that never converted. So you still need to check what it adds.
Pricing, from its pricing page today:
- Essentials: $695 a month, up to $10,000 in monthly ad spend. AI bid changes, automated keyword harvesting, profit reporting.
- Growth: $695 a month plus a percentage of ad spend, over $10,000 a month. Adds hourly reporting and intraday bid changes through Amazon Marketing Stream, hourly share of voice and organic rank, and a client success team.
- Premium: custom, over $500,000 a month. Adds custom Amazon Marketing Cloud reporting and a dedicated account team.
The page doesn't publish the Growth percentage. Ask for it in writing before you sign.
How does Teikametrics work, and what does it cost?
Teikametrics now sells itself as an "Artificial Retail Intelligence" platform called ARI, covering ads, catalog and inventory across Amazon, Walmart and TikTok, according to its platform page. The old Flywheel name still lives in its sign-up and help URLs.
The ads engine is goal based too. Its AI Smart Campaigns guide lists six goals: Product Launch, Awareness, Grow, Profit, a return on ad spend goal, and Liquidate. You set an ACoS limit, and each goal decides how far the bot can push past it. Product Launch can bid up to 25% above your limit. Liquidate can go up to 50% above it to clear stock. Grow stays between 95% and 100% of your limit, which is why the guide calls it the most controlled option.
The part that matters most for this post is in its intro to the bidder. It makes hourly ACoS adjustments on Amazon, and its models forecast average order value and conversion rate for each keyword, factoring in seasonality, price, match type and inventory status.
Read that again. The bidder's math starts with your conversion rate.
Pricing, from its pricing page today:
- Essentials: $149 a month billed annually, or $179 a month billed monthly, up to $10,000 in monthly ad spend. Free trial.
- Advanced: custom, over $10,000 a month, plus 3% of ad spend over $10,000. Adds Amazon DSP, Walmart Onsite Display and Amazon Marketing Cloud.
- Enterprise: custom, over $100,000 a month, with managed services.
Both tools are very good at deciding what a click is worth. Neither one gets a vote on what your listing does with that click.
Perpetua vs Teikametrics: how do they compare side by side?
I checked both vendors' own pages on October 29, 2026. Prices move, so treat this as a snapshot.
| Perpetua | Teikametrics | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price | $695 a month (Essentials) | $149 a month annual, $179 monthly (Essentials) |
| Entry spend band | Up to $10,000 a month | Up to $10,000 a month |
| Above $10,000 spend | $695 plus a percentage of spend (not published) | Custom base plus 3% of spend over $10,000 |
| How you steer it | Goals: growth, profitability, brand defense, awareness | Goals plus an ACoS limit: Launch, Awareness, Grow, Profit, return on ad spend, Liquidate |
| Bid speed | Intraday changes via Amazon Marketing Stream on Growth and up | Hourly ACoS adjustments on Amazon |
| Keyword harvesting | Automatic by default, usually 2+ conversions | Automatic, inside Smart Campaigns |
| Inventory signals | Not described on its pages | Bidder factors inventory status; Liquidate goal clears stock |
| Other channels | Walmart and other marketplaces, display and video | Walmart and TikTok |
| Best fit | Bigger brands that want reporting depth and a service team | Sellers under $10,000 spend who want automation at a low fee |
My pick for most sellers reading this: Teikametrics Essentials. It costs about a quarter of Perpetua's entry plan for the same spend band. If you already run Helium 10 Adtomic or Jungle Scout, read which of those two to keep before you add a third subscription.
Why can't any PPC tool fix a listing that doesn't convert?
Here's the math. Run it on a product like this, a hypothetical.
A $29.95 product. Your target ACoS is 25%. The listing converts 8% of ad clicks into orders.
Revenue per click is 8% times $29.95, which is $2.40. At a 25% ACoS, the most you can pay for a click is 25% of $2.40. That's $0.60. Any bot, from any vendor, has to stay at or under $0.60 to hit your target.
Now say the keyword you need costs $1.10 a click. At 8% conversion, your ACoS on that keyword is $1.10 divided by $2.40, which is 45.9%. The bot does the only thing it can do. It bids down, loses the auction, and you sell less.
Fix the listing so it converts 12% instead. Revenue per click becomes 12% times $29.95, which is $3.59. Your max bid at 25% ACoS jumps to $0.90. That same $1.10 click now runs at a 30.6% ACoS. Close enough to fight for.
Conversion rate x $29.95 price x 10,000 clicks. 8% is 800 orders, 12% is 1,200 orders.
On 10,000 clicks, that's $23,960 at 8% and $35,940 at 12%. Same clicks. Same bids. Same tool. The $11,980 gap came from the page.
That's the whole polarity. A PPC tool on a weak listing is amplifying a leak. The same tool on a listing that closes is amplifying a machine.
You won't find your conversion rate on any settings screen in Perpetua or Teikametrics. Every setting on those screens is built on top of it.
This hits margin, too. One of our Amazon-to-Shopify case studies is a $29.95 rodent repellent that spent $5.99 on ads per sale on Amazon and netted $7.73 per sale after fees, ads and inventory. Real client numbers, not typical results, and not a promise of what your store will do. On a margin that thin, a $179 tool needs 24 extra sales a month just to pay for itself ($179 divided by $7.73 is 23.2). Perpetua's $695 plan needs 90.
So before you compare bidders, compare yourself to the break-even number. And if the listing is the problem, start with our breakdown on Amazon product page conversion, then the AI listing tools comparison.
Which Amazon PPC tools setup fits your ad spend?
No both-sides. Here's how I'd call it.
- Under $3,000 a month in spend: skip both for now. Run auto and manual campaigns by hand, add negatives weekly, and put the fee money into the listing.
- $3,000 to $10,000 a month: Teikametrics Essentials. Start on the Grow goal so the bot can't drift far past your ACoS limit.
- Over $10,000 and multi-marketplace: get written quotes from both. Teikametrics publishes its 3%. Perpetua doesn't publish its Growth percentage, so make them.
- Brand terms getting stolen by competitors: that's a separate fight. Read whether bidding on your own brand name is worth it first.

Frequently asked questions
Is Perpetua or Teikametrics better for Amazon PPC automation?
For most sellers spending under $10,000 a month on ads, Teikametrics is the better fit because its Essentials plan starts at $149 a month on annual billing. Perpetua's Essentials plan is $695 a month, so it makes more sense for brands with bigger budgets that want hourly share of voice data and a client success team.
How much does Teikametrics cost?
Teikametrics lists Essentials at $149 a month billed annually or $179 a month billed monthly, for up to $10,000 in monthly ad spend. Advanced and Enterprise plans are custom priced and add 3% of ad spend over $10,000.
How much does Perpetua cost?
Perpetua lists Essentials at $695 a month for up to $10,000 in monthly ad spend. Growth is $695 a month plus a percentage of ad spend for accounts over $10,000, and Premium is custom for accounts over $500,000 a month.
Can Amazon PPC automation software lower my ACoS?
It can stop waste and set bids faster than you can by hand. But ACoS is ad spend divided by ad revenue, and ad revenue depends on how many clicks turn into orders. If the listing converts poorly, the tool can only lower ACoS by bidding less and selling less.
Is Amazon PPC automation software worth it for a small seller?
Divide the monthly fee by your net profit per sale. At $7.73 profit per sale, a $179 plan needs 24 extra sales a month to pay for itself, and a $695 plan needs 90. If the tool can't plausibly beat that number, keep bidding by hand and fix the listing first.
