Done for You Shopify Product Pages: 4 Options Compared
Done for you means five jobs: research, copy, images, build and measurement. Most offers cover two. Here's how the four market options stack up, with the prices they publish.

"Done for you" might be the most stretched phrase in e-commerce. I've seen it stamped on a $40 template, a two-week design sprint and a full agency retainer. Same three words. Wildly different jobs.
So here's the straight answer. Done for you Shopify product pages come from four places: a freelancer, a vetted network or Shopify Partner agency, a page builder app you drive yourself, or DIY with AI tools. Published market prices start around $475 for a theme edit and $2,000 for a new product page layout, and run to $125 to $200 an hour for boutique agencies. Sources are below.
But price is the second question. The first one is: done for you what?
What does "done for you" mean on a Shopify product page?
A product page that sells has five jobs behind it. Not one.
- Research. Find the three questions your buyer is silently asking before they buy.
- Copy. Answer those questions, in order, in plain words, starting with the product page headline.
- Images. Show the answers, because most shoppers scroll before they read.
- Build. Put it into Shopify so it loads fast and works on a phone.
- Measurement. Compare conversion rate and average order value before and after.
Here's the thing. Most offers sold as done for you cover job four, sometimes job three. The research and the copy, which are the jobs that actually move the money, get left to you. Or skipped.
If the quote doesn't say who writes the copy, the copy is your job.
And it matters, because the bar is low across the whole market. Baymard Institute benchmarked 344 leading US and European e-commerce sites and found 51% have mediocre or worse product page UX. Those are big brands with teams. A nicer layout on top of the same unanswered questions doesn't fix that.
How do the 4 options for done for you Shopify product pages compare?
I pulled every price in this table from a page I opened this week. Where a vendor type doesn't publish prices, I left it blank instead of guessing.
| Option | Published market price | Jobs usually covered (of 5) | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Freelancer | $50 to $125 an hour, per Blackbelt Commerce | Build, sometimes images | Copy and research billed separately or not offered |
| Vetted network | Theme edits from $475 (4 days), new product page layout from $2,000 (2 weeks) on Storetasker | Build, layout | Scope is a template, not an argument |
| Shopify product page agency | Boutique agencies $125 to $200 an hour, Shopify Plus partners $175 to $275 an hour (Blackbelt) | Build, design, sometimes copy | Paying store-sized rates for page-sized work |
| Page builder app (you drive) | PageFly from a free plan with 1 published slot; GemPages from a free plan with 1 published page | Build tools only | Every one of the five jobs lands on you |
| DIY with AI | Shopify Sidekick drafts descriptions inside the admin | Copy draft | Shopify warns the draft can add benefits you never listed |
The Shopify Partner directory is worth a look too. It lists 5,448 partners, and each card shows a "Starting from" figure or a range, like $199 or $20 to $399, next to "Contact for pricing." The directory doesn't say what those numbers buy. That's your first question on the call.
Is a Shopify product page agency worth it for one page?
Usually not. And the agencies' own trade press says so.
Blackbelt Commerce names a product page redesign as the kind of contained, well-specified project that suits a freelancer. When you hire a shopify product page agency at $150 an hour to fix one hero page, you're paying for a project manager, a kickoff deck and a team that's built for whole stores.
Where an agency earns it: custom shopify product pages for a catalog. Separate templates for your best sellers, your bundles and your subscriptions. A rebrand. A replatform. That's store-sized work.
I'll admit something. Early on I hired the big shop for a single page because it felt safer. It looked beautiful. The copy was the same spec sheet we'd had before, moved into nicer boxes. I paid for decoration.
An agency is a great hire for a house. It's an expensive hire for a door.
Can a page builder app replace a done for you service?
It can replace the build. That's job four of five.
PageFly lists a 4.9 rating from 5,919 reviews on its Shopify App Store listing, with a free plan for one published page or section and paid plans listed at $33.72 a month (Builder) and $139.10 a month (Accelerate), shown in Canadian dollars on the listing I opened. GemPages lists a free plan with one published page and a Build plan at $40.75 a month, also shown in Canadian dollars, plus a feature that turns a reference image into an editable page.
Those are real tools. I like them. But a drag-and-drop editor has no idea why your buyer hesitates at $89. It'll give you a gorgeous empty room. You still have to furnish it with the argument.

How is AI changing done for you Shopify product pages?
It's collapsing the cost of the draft. Fast.
Shopify's admin now has Sidekick draft product descriptions from a title and a few keywords. Read Shopify's own fine print, though. It says you're responsible for the accuracy of everything you publish, and warns the draft may add benefits you never listed or facts pulled from similar products.
That's the tell. Typing got cheap. Judgment didn't.
So when you read a quote for done for you Shopify product pages in 2026, split it in your head. How much is someone producing words and images a tool can now draft in minutes? And how much is someone deciding what your buyer needs to hear, in what order, and then proving it worked? Pay for the second part. Push back on the first. I went deeper on that trade in AI product page generator vs copywriter, and the AI product pages guide covers the full build.
How do you judge product page service pricing before you pay?
Stop comparing quotes to each other. Compare each quote to what the page has to earn.
Here's the math. Divide the price by your monthly visitors to that page. That's the lift in revenue per visitor you need to break even in 30 days. A $2,000 layout on 10,000 monthly visitors needs 20 cents more per visitor. A $475 edit needs 4.75 cents.
Now run the math on a store like this, a hypothetical. A pet supplements brand sends 10,000 visitors a month to its hero joint chew. Conversion rate 1.4%, average order value $68. That's about $0.95 revenue per visitor (1.4% x $68), or $9,520 a month.
The page gets rebuilt around the three questions buyers were asking (will my dog eat it, how fast does it work, why this price). Conversion rate goes to 2.0%, average order value to $74 with a two-bag bundle. That's 2.0% x $74 = $1.48 revenue per visitor. On the same 10,000 visitors, $14,800 a month.
That's $5,280 more a month. A $2,000 page pays back in about 11 days. A page that only looks better pays back never.
Conversion rate x average order value x visitors. Hypothetical example, not client data.
Plug your own numbers in and watch the gap move:
If you've never pulled your real number, start with how to calculate revenue per visitor on Shopify. And once the new page is live, keep the old one running against it with a split URL test. That's job five, and it's the one that tells you whether you bought a page or a picture.
Here's what it looks like when all five jobs get done. A bedding brand's conversion rate went from 1.0% to 3.5% and average order value from $125 to $231. Revenue per visitor moved from $1.25 to $8.10. On 10,000 visitors, that's $81,000 instead of $12,500. You can see the full case study numbers. Real client numbers, not typical results, and not a promise of what your store will do.
I'm Ishan Soni, and at RevenueFlows AI every product page gets judged on one number: revenue per visitor. Whoever builds your page, make them play on that scoreboard.
Bleeding pages get redesigned. Printing pages get rebuilt around the reason to buy.
Which option should you pick?
By where your store is today:
- One hero page, you can write. A page builder app and an afternoon. Use the objection map first.
- One hero page, you can't write. A freelancer or vetted network, with copy written into the scope.
- Several hero products needing their own templates. A network or a small agency quoting custom templates, copy included.
- A full rebrand or replatform. An agency. That's what their rates are built for.

What to do next
Take your best-selling product page tonight. Write the five jobs down the side of a sheet of paper and tick the ones your last designer, app or freelancer actually did. Whatever's unticked is where the money's leaking. Hire for that gap, not for a nicer layout.
Book Your Profit Audit
On a profit audit we pull your hero page's real conversion rate and average order value, show you what every visitor is worth today, and find which of the five jobs your page is missing. Then we show you how to rebuild a high-converting product sales page in less than 15 minutes.

P.S. Done for you should mean done to sell. If nobody's measuring revenue per visitor, nobody's done.
Frequently asked questions
What does done for you Shopify product pages actually include?
It should include five jobs: buyer research, copy, images, the Shopify build and a before and after measurement. Most offers sold under the label cover the build and the layout only, so ask which of the five are in writing before you pay.
How much do done for you Shopify product pages cost?
Published market prices start around $475 for a theme edit and $2,000 for a new product page layout on Storetasker, with freelancers at $50 to $125 an hour and boutique agencies at $125 to $200 an hour per Blackbelt Commerce. Many specialist studios don't publish prices at all.
Is a Shopify product page agency better than a freelancer?
For one hero page, a freelancer or vetted network is usually the right size of hire. An agency earns its rate when you need a whole store rebuilt or several product templates, and only if copy and measurement are in the scope.
Can I build a high-converting product page myself with a page builder app?
Yes, if you can write the argument. Apps like PageFly and GemPages give you the layout and the drag-and-drop editor. They don't know why your buyer hesitates, and that's the part that moves conversion rate.
Can AI write my Shopify product pages for me?
AI can draft them fast. Shopify's Sidekick drafts product descriptions from a title and keywords, but Shopify itself warns the text can add benefits you never listed. Use AI for the draft and a human for the judgment.
